A native of Ghana, Dr. Biney graduated with his medical degree from the University of Ghana School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2009. He completed his housemanship in internal medicine and obstetrics & gynecology at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in 2010, and his housemanship in general surgery and pediatrics at the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital in 2011.
Wanting to further his education, he relocated to the United States, where he completed a residency at the Howard University Hospital, and a fellowship in pulmonary disease and critical care medicine at the University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine.
As a testament of his continued education, the doctor is board-certified in pulmonary disease, critical care medicine and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
