Certified Physician Assistant and Athletic Trainer Making a Difference in Hatch Valley Public Schools

In the heart of Hatch, New Mexico, Reagan Dunnahoo stands out as a beacon of dedication and expertise in the realms of healthcare and athletic training. With a rich background in education and years of experience, Reagan serves as the Head Athletic Trainer and Head Track and Field Coach at Hatch Valley Public Schools, while also contributing her skills as a Certified Physician Assistant at Ben Archer Health Center since January 1996.

Reagan’s academic journey is a testament to her commitment to excellence. Graduating from Hatch Valley High School in 1988, she continued her education at New Mexico State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Athletic Training Education in 1992. Her thirst for knowledge led her to Emory University School of Medicine, where she obtained her Master of Medical Science Degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 1995.

A distinguished member of various professional organizations, Reagan is affiliated with the New Mexico Academy of Physician Assistants, the National Athletic Trainers Association, the New Mexico Athletic Trainers Association, and holds the esteemed title of Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

Beyond her impressive credentials, Reagan’s true passion lies in nurturing the physical and emotional well-being of the young individuals she works with. She believes in empowering her students to not only be healthier physically but also to grow into compassionate and resilient individuals. Reagan’s door is always open, and she encourages her students to seek her guidance with any challenge they may face. By providing unwavering support, Reagan believes she has the power to positively impact the trajectory of her students’ lives, a prospect that she finds immensely rewarding.
