Atlanta, GA – Dr. Caroline Berchuck, an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company, is making significant strides in healthcare consulting, focusing on clinical strategy and the design and implementation of care models for complex and underserved populations. With a robust background in health system strategies and a passion for health equity, she is dedicated to transforming healthcare delivery for diverse communities.

In her role at McKinsey & Company, she collaborates with healthcare clients to develop and implement innovative strategies that address the most pressing challenges in the industry. Her expertise and her passions cross in her work – supporting academic medical centers design clinical care, research, and education for the future; creating novel approaches to care delivery challenges, such as healthcare for women and for people with significant physical, behavioral health, and social needs; and ensuring that clients are equipped to navigate the rapidly evolving healthcare landscape. This comprehensive approach is not only strategic but also deeply rooted in the principles of equity and accessibility.

Pertaining to her educational pursuits, Dr. Berchuck holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Health Policy & Management from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, completed her residency in Family & Community Medicine at UCSF, with a concentration in Health Systems & Leadership, and earned her Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Emory University School of Medicine. She also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Davidson College.

Prior to her tenure at McKinsey, she held senior leadership positions at Commonwealth Care Alliance and Cityblock Health. There, she played a pivotal role in designing and executing high-performing clinical care delivery models, which included innovative home-based and mobile care solutions, virtual care, and unique primary care models in value-based agreements. Her work has been instrumental in enhancing patient outcomes and ensuring that healthcare services are delivered efficiently and effectively to those in need.

In addition to her consulting work, Dr. Berchuck has served as a home-based primary care provider and an Attending Physician at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where she applied her clinical expertise to patient care. She is also an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School, shaping the next generation of healthcare leaders through her teaching and mentorship.
