Building on a Legacy of Excellence in Medical Oncology and Hematology

A seasoned oncologist, Dr. Albany joined Franciscan Health in 2024, providing patients with cutting-edge cancer care in a trusting and compassionate environment. Specializing in the treatment of prostate, bladder, and kidney cancers, he is also recognized for his expertise in testicular cancer.

Academically, his medical journey began at Tishreen University School of Medicine in Syria, followed by rigorous training in Internal Medicine at the American University of Beirut in Lebanon and Columbia University St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital in New York City. He then honed his expertise through a fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at Indiana University School of Medicine, where he later served as an assistant professor. 

His contributions to the field of oncology are underscored by his extensive publication record, with dozens of articles featured in peer-reviewed journals. His research not only reflects his commitment to advancing cancer care but also his desire to educate and empower his colleagues and patients alike.

As a testament of his dedication to clinical, professional, and educational excellence, Dr. Albany has been the recipient of several prestigious awards, including the Career Development Award from the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) in 2014 and the Clinical Scholar Award from the Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology in 2015.
