Toms River, New Jersey – William DiLorenzo, DO, a dedicated and experienced cardiologist, has been making significant strides in patient care as the Director of Non-invasive Cardiology at Shore Cardiac Institute since October 2010. 

As part of the RWJBarnabas Health Medical Group, Dr. DiLorenzo practices at Ocean Heart & Vascular, with offices conveniently located in Lakewood, Barnegat, and Toms River, New Jersey. His commitment to providing high-quality cardiovascular care is further supported by his affiliation with Community Medical Center, a fully accredited acute care hospital in Toms River.

Dr. DiLorenzo’s approach to patient care emphasizes the importance of empowerment and education. He believes that patients should be active participants in their health journeys, and he strives to provide compassionate, evidence-based medical guidance tailored to each individual’s needs. Dr. DiLorenzo’s clinical expertise encompasses a wide range of cardiology services, including general cardiology, hypertension management, atrial fibrillation (Afib), transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs), nuclear stress tests, echocardiograms, and cardiac clearances.

A graduate of the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2002, Dr. DiLorenzo completed his residency in internal medicine at North Shore University Hospital from 2002 to 2005. He further honed his skills during a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Yale New Haven Hospital, Saint Raphael Campus from 2005 to 2008, where he developed a deep understanding of complex cardiovascular conditions.

Dr. DiLorenzo holds multiple board certifications, including cardiovascular disease certification from the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine, nuclear cardiology certification from the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology, and echocardiology certification from the National Board of Echocardiography, Inc. His professional affiliations with esteemed organizations such as the American College of Cardiology and the American Society of Echocardiology highlight his dedication to staying at the forefront of cardiology.

With more than 15 years of experience at Shore Cardiac Institute, Dr. DiLorenzo continues to lead the charge in advancing cardiovascular health in the community, ensuring that patients receive the personalized and compassionate care they deserve.
