Diandra received her Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology from Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York. Thereafter, she went on to earn her Master of Arts (MA) degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey.
Diandra is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA). The ACA is the world’s largest organization representing professional counselors in various practice settings. The mission of the organization is to promote the professional development of counselors, to advocate for the profession, as well as to ensure ethical, culturally-inclusive practices that protect those using counseling services.
Licensed professional counselors (LPCs) are doctoral and master’s-level mental health service providers who are trained to work with individuals, families, and groups in treating mental, behavioral, and emotional problems and disorders. As an LPC, Diandra assists parents and families with psycho-education for a range of clinical and behavioral concerns. While her experience has been mainly working with children and adolescents, she works with adults as well.
Diandra specializes in the treatment of: ADHD/ADD,anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, mood disorders, self-harm, and more. She utilizes several types of therapies, including family therapy, group therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy – to name a few. “I strive to make the therapeutic experience worthwhile and rewarding for each client. While therapy is at times vulnerable and challenging, I believe that with the right blend of empathy and clinical guidance, anyone is capable of lasting change. I hope to create a comfortable, collaborative environment that facilitates personal growth” said Diandra.
Diandra attributes her success to being tenacious, persistent, and always going after what her heart is set on. In her spare time, she enjoys long-distance running, cooking, as well as spending time with her family and friends.
