Children's Motrin vs. Tylenol?
Motrin works better for higher fevers, however, it does have more potential side effects (GI irritation). I personally like to alternate both Motrin and Tylenol every 4 hours, but I usually start with Motrin. Either med will work for fever, however, it just depends on your preference. Hope this helps. Are there any medications available to prevent the flu?
First recommendation, get a flu shot if you haven't already. However, it does take a couple of weeks for it to take effect. In conjunction with the flu shot, or alternatively, Tamiflu can be taken to help prevent the flu.
