When her mother began to have heart problems, she became more aware of the medical field and her interest in the like. She considered nursing, but due to multiple factors went on to pursue respiratory therapy. She absolutely loved her career in respiratory therapy - to be able to always learn, teach, and present knew things in the field, and to always be the one people could call on for help at any time.Bob Blesser noticed her potential and helped guide her into the field. Brian Freedman appreciated her work at Stanly and advocated for her as a director there. Her son has followed in medicine to be a successful RN at Presbyterian Hospital.
