Philanthropic Initiatives
- She believes in the importance and necessity of helping others heal through mutual understanding, connectedness and teamwork. Helping others to feel known and cared for, even when answers are not apparent, is the foundation for effective therapeutic work. She believes in the effectiveness of animal therapy; her personal pet was a therapy dog and together they would visit Veterans Association, nursing homes, hospitals and school campuses for events sponsored by Therapy Dogs International, Inc., as well as participation in local Read-to-Dogs program to help children improve reading skills.
