Get to know Respiratory Therapist Rodney Wayne Steinbach, who serves patients in Houston, Texas.

Rodney is a respiratory therapist who is experienced in advanced airway management, airway management in trauma, intensive care, and the administration of general anesthesia or conscious sedation. He is certified through the National Board for Respiratory Care – a non-profit organization formed in 1960 with the purpose of awarding and maintaining credentialing for respiratory therapists in the United States. 

With years of experience in his field, Rodney continues to provide exceptional care and support to his patients within the Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center in Houston, Texas. Serving families since 1971, the Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center is a part of the Memorial Hermann Healthcare System and houses the system’s headquarters. 

During his academic career, he earned his degree in respiratory care from San Jacinto College in Houston in 1986. Thereafter, he was determined to dedicate his life to delivering high quality, compassionate, and individualized care to patients and ensuring the most optimal results.

Respiratory therapy is the assessment and treatment of patients with both acute and chronic dysfunction of the cardiopulmonary system. A respiratory therapist is a specialized healthcare practitioner trained in pulmonary medicine in order to work therapeutically with people suffering from pulmonary disease. 

Rodney attributes his success to doing the best for his patients, being a patient advocate, as well as being flexible.In his spare time, he enjoys reading scripture and visiting with family.
