Rather than just fixing or replacing missing teeth, Dr. Brown focuses on solving the underlying problems leading to the cavities or broken and missing teeth. It is her belief that a patient’s dentistry is only as good as their foundation, as such she focuses on overall health and oral health. 

With special skills and training, Dr Brown’s scope of practice is wide-ranging due to her comprehensive training in general dentistry, periodontics, endodontics, and restoration dentistry. She continues to earn more certifications, including Master Clinician for Implant Dentistry with GIDE and she is a Fellow of the Academy of GP Orthodontics. 

In regards to her educational background, she earned her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry Degree from the University of Pennsylvania, graduating with clinical honors. She also studied at the University of Washington in Seattle, graduating with a Master of Science Degree in Bioengineering.

What makes this dentist unique, is her training with The Dawson Academy, which teaches the concept of complete dentistry. Dawson dentists are trained to use the WIDIOM rule, which means, ”would I do it on me?” This concept requires careful examination and treatment planning, designed to help patients understand every problem so priorities of treatment can be put into proper perspective.  

Having spent more than 300 hours on the core curriculum and having completed 8 courses, Dr. Brown is a graduate of The Dawson Academy. A dentist graduating from The Dawson Academy is one of only 10% of all dentists in the country. 

Her professional affiliations include the American Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, and the Academy of GP Orthodontics. She also holds dental certifications in Basic Life Support, Nitrous Oxide Sedation, Invisalign Clear Aligners, as well as in the placement of mini dental implants.
