Get to know General Dentist Dr. Ji-Hyun Kim, who serves patients in Litchfield, Connecticut.

Dr. Kim is a general dentist who is currently serving patients’ dental needs at Litchfield Center Dental in Litchfield, Connecticut. “At Litchfield Center Dental, our goal is to provide the best possible dental experience for our patients throughout the Litchfield and Torrington areas. In contrast to large dental corporations, we offer individual attention and thoughtful dental care that is customized to you and your family. Our dentists and assistants take a genuine interest in your oral health. Dr. Kim brings a solid clinical background to the practice. She is well skilled in all the traditional facets of dentistry, as well as the newer technologies. In 2006, she attended Mount Holyoke College where she earned a degree in biology. She then attended New York University College of Dentistry, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2010. While there, she became a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a national dental honor society. After graduation, Dr. Kim began a general practice residency at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. 

Dr. Kim chose dentistry because it is a profession she loves. It provides plenty of rewards and challenges. Additionally, she is able to help others with her knowledge and skills. Dr. Kim’s patients love that she is affectionate, understanding, and gentle during treatment.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. As a general dentist, Dr. Kim diagnoses, treats, and manages patients’ overall oral health care needs, including gum care, root canals, fillings, crowns, veneers, bridges, and preventive education.
