In regards to her educational background, Dr. Mirza graduated from the United Medical and Dental Schools of Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals in London in 2002. She graduated top of her class, winning prizes in orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, dental public health, microbiology, immunology, pathology, and conservative dentistry. She was entered to win the Gold Medal prize for ‘Best Dental Student in London’, in which she was awarded runner-up. She also achieved distinctions in most of her subjects.
Upon graduating, Dr. Mirza married and moved to America, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with the highest GPA in her class from the NYU College of Dentistry in 2006. She was on the Dean’s list for all 3 years at NYU, and won the Ethics Prize and a Certificate of Achievement in recognition of her outstanding achievements. Additionally, she took part in the honors program in oral surgery and was inducted into the Omega Chapter of OKU, an elite dental society joined by invitation only.
Recognizing the importance of education, she has taken extensive continuing education classes to improve her skill range, thereby enabling her to provide an extensive range of treatments for her patients and helping her to keep abreast of the latest technologies.
