  • Can you get a full mouth of veneers?

    Yes, you can. READ MORE

  • Can dentists fill cavities between teeth?

Hello, Yes, of course. It’s one of the “bread and butter” dental procedures we do almost every single day. Best Regards, Andrew Adly, DDS READ MORE

  • How long does it take to get dentures after teeth are pulled?

Hello, That depends on each body of healing. You want the bone and tissue to heal which generally takes about 8-12 weeks to start the denture fabrication process. However, you can talk to your provider about also doing what are called “immediate dentures” which can be inserted the day of your front teeth extractions. Immediate dentures are not a long term solution however as the denture does not change shape but the tissue/bone changes shape over the course of healing. Hope this helps! READ MORE

  • How can I make flossing easier?

Hello, If used properly with oral hygiene instructions by your dental provider/hygienist, floss picks can be nearly as effective as string floss and much easier to use. I personally use them most days. Hope this helps! READ MORE

  • How does smoking affect oral surgery?

Hello, Smoking can 1. Pull the blood clot out by creating a negative vacuum which can delay healing and/or cause painful healing such as a dry socket. 2. It decreases blood supply which is needed for proper/timely healing 3. It decreases oxygen to the healing site which is also needed for proper/timely healing. Hope this helps! Best Regards, Andrew Adly, DDS READ MORE

  • Can a tooth with a root canal hurt years later?

Hello, Yes, it can, for many reasons. You can possibly have a reinfection, a fracture, a high/traumatic bite, tissue inflammation, and maybe another possible issue. I recommend you get an examination by your dental provider. Best Regards, Andrew Adly, DDS READ MORE

  • Can you chew gum with a dental bridge?

Hello, As long as it has been permanently cemented you should in theory be able to chew gum there. I would refrain from gum chewing if it is a temporary bridge or if the bridge is temporarily cemented on. Otherwise, please wait at least 24 hours after permanent cementation before eating anything sticky or chewy on the side of the bridge. Hope this helps! Best regards, Andrew Adly, DDS READ MORE

  • Do you brush your teeth before a dental cleaning?

Hello, It wouldn’t hurt to do so, but it's not necessary at all. Best regards, Andrew Adly, DDS READ MORE

  • What to eat after getting a root canal?

Hello, Just be sure to avoid anything hard (like nuts) or chewy/sticky (taffy, gum, etc.) while you have the temporary filling until you get your permanent filling (i.e., crown or restoration). Hope this helps! Best regards, Andrew Adly, DDS READ MORE

  • How can I make my gums heal faster?

Hello, The good news is you are young so healing should be quicker (assuming you are a healthy individual). Warm salt water rinses can help healing and make sure you keep the healing sites nice and clean to avoid inflammation/irritation. Make sure you follow your provider’s post op instructions carefully and attend your follow up appointment. Hope this helps! Best Regards, Andrew Adly, DDS READ MORE

  • How should I deal with the pain of a wisdom tooth?

Hello, I recommend you go see your nearest dentist to examine/take images of the teeth that are giving you discomfort. From there, the dentist will decide if they will treat it or send a referral to a specialist (an oral surgeon in this case). Hope this helps! Best regards, Andrew Adly, DDS READ MORE
