Since opening its doors in 2002, Wong Family Dental has made it its mission to provide the highest quality dental care through proficient, empathetic treatment. Both Dr. Cody M. Wong & Dr. Emelita M. Wong understand that visiting the dentist can feel daunting, which is why it is their top priority to make patients feel safe and comfortable when being treated at their Park Ridge, Illinois office.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, Dr. Wong attended St. Ignatius College Prep for high school and later went to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he graduated with a Major in Integrative Biology and a Minor in Chemistry in 2015. He then attended dental school at Midwestern University’s College of Dental Medicine in Downers Grove, graduating with his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree in 2019.
In order to stay up to date in his field, he remains a member of several professional dental organizations, including the Chicago Dental Society and the American Dental Association.
Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.
