About

Dr. Yi is an orthopaedic surgeon.  She treats general orthopaedic injuries and conditions and subspecializes in treatment of the entire upper extremity.  This includes injuries from the shoulder and brachial plexus to the fingertips.  Additionally, she performs microvascular surgery and reconstruction of soft tissue injuries throughout the body,

Dr. Yi attended Emory University for a Bachelors degree in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology. She then attended Drexel University College of Medicine for her Medical Degree where she was elected into the AOA Honors Medical Society and was awarded with a Merck Manual Award for Clinical Excellence. She subsequently entered orthopaedic surgery residency at Rutgers University-New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey where she demonstrated leadership throughout residency and was chosen as Administrative Chief Resident. In her chief year, she was the recipient of the prestigious Rutgers University-NJMS 2016 Alumni Award and the 2016 Department of Orthopaedics Alfred F Behrens Award. Following residency, Dr. Yi continued on to subspecialty training in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. She trained with surgeons specialized in hand surgery, orthopaedic trauma surgery, microvascular and reconstructive surgery, and shoulder and elbow surgery.
