A native of Cuba, Dr. Lopez del Castillo began his medical education at the Higher Institute of Medical Sciences in Camaguey, Cuba where he graduated with honors in 2008. He then completed his residency in family medicine at West Kendall Baptist Hospital/FIU in Miami where he was honored to be selected Chief Resident.

Possessing clinical specialization, the doctor is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties.

Among his professional affiliations, Dr. Lopez del Castillo is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association, and the Florida Academy of Family Physicians.
