The center offers multiple Traditional Chinese Medicine treatments, including acupuncture, herbal therapy, moxibustion, and cupping for acute or chronic pain syndrome, endocrine disease, mental disorders, digestive disease, and skin disorders.
Licensed to practice acupuncture in Virginia, Florida, and Maryland, Run is highly successful in treating men’s and women’s health conditions such as infertility, ovarian cyst, menopause, irregular menstruation (early or delayed menstrual cycle, profuse or scanty period), prostate disease, and more. He has cured many people of their health problems and has successfully helped a good number of patients get well.
The offspring of the fourth generation of his family’s Traditional Chinese Medicine, Run graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Anhui University of Chinese Medicine in China. Upon graduation, he worked as an acupuncturist in The Second Affiliated Hospital of Anhui University of Chinese Medicine, and then worked in the Acupuncture Rehabilitation Clinic of The First Affiliated Hospital of the said University.
After years of clinical practice in China, he moved to the United States where he received his Master of Science in Oriental Medicine degree from the Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Before long, he was named a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). The NCCAOM is a non-profit organization in the United States that aims to “establish, assess, and promote recognized standards of competence and safety in acupuncture and Oriental medicine for the protection and benefit of the public.”
Apart from working at Balance Art Acupuncture LLC, Run is a Professor at Virginia University of Integrative Medicine, teaching acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. He has also written several articles on topics relating to his field and has contributed to one Traditional Chinese Medicine book.
