Get to know Internist Dr. Taneem Sultana, who serves patients in Martinsville, Indiana.

Dr. Sultana is a well-versed internist who sees patients across Martinsville, Indiana but works primarily out of Southern Indiana Physicians Family & Internal Medicine. Passionate about helping others, patients visit her for medical conditions such as pneumonia, ear infections, eczema, and urinary tract infections.

A firm believer that life is precious, she utilizes her life to help her community and to have a positive influence in her patients’ lives. She enjoys developing long-term relationships with them and guiding them in the most difficult times of their lives. 

In practice since 2011, Dr. Sultana wanted to become a doctor ever since she was a child because of her love for science. She completed her medical training at the Deccan College of Medical Sciences in India, after which she relocated to the United States. 

A member of the American College of Physicians, she is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

An avid researcher, Dr. Sultana has authored several publications in the field of medicine. Her extensive knowledge and calm demeanor ensure that every patient leaves her practice feeling healthy and content. She can converse in English, Urdu, and Hindi, a quality that makes her accessible to a diverse population.

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They manage and prevent common and complex diseases by providing comprehensive care and promoting overall well-being.

Outside of practicing medicine, Dr. Sultana enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, organizing stuff, and cooking.
