Get to know Orthopedic Surgeon & Sports Medicine Specialist Dr. Hussein A. Saad, who serves patients in Dearborn, Michigan.

Dr. Saad is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon & sports medicine specialist in practice with Michigan Orthopedic Specialists at the office in Dearborn, Michigan. The focus of his practice is on sports medicine related injuries with a special interest in shoulder/knee arthroscopy.

Making every effort to bring restoration of health and prevention of future problems, Dr. Saad’s treatment philosophy is to include all team members in the treatment process, including physicians, athletic trainers, physical therapists, and coaches. He encourages his patients to ask questions to help them become better educated about their condition.

Licensed to practice medicine in Michigan, he remains affiliated with Beaumont Health, more specifically: Beaumont Hospital, Dearborn; Beaumont Hospital, Farmington Hills; and Beaumont Hospital, Taylor.

Among his association with professional organizations, he is a member of the Michigan Orthopedic Society, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, and the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine.

After graduating with high distinction from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 2007, Dr. Saad went on to complete his residency in orthopedic surgery at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. Upon completion of his residency, he went on to complete his fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic where he cared for the professional athletes of the Cleveland Browns, Cavaliers and Indians.

Dedicated to excellence, the doctor is board-certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons.

Orthopedic surgery is the branch of surgery concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system. Orthopedic surgeons use both surgical and non-surgical means to treat musculoskeletal trauma, spine diseases, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumors, and congenital disorders.

Sports medicine is a branch of medicine that deals with physical fitness and the treatment and prevention of injuries related to sports and exercise. A sports medicine specialist is a physician with significant specialized training in both the treatment and prevention of illness and injury.

Fluent in both English and Arabic, Dr. Saad has been the recipient of a number of awards and honors throughout his fruitful career, including: Patients’ Choice Award (2016, 2017, 2018), Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2016, 2017, 2018), and On-Time Doctor Award (2018).
