Dr. Joshua Prompton is a specialty dentist practicing in Chicago, IL. Dr. Joshua Prompton’s treatment philosophy is patient centered with an emphasis on discovering the specific needs and concerns for each of his patients. As the lead prosthodontist at Lux Smiles, he directs our team of specialists and cosmetic dentists to achieve highly esthetic outcomes. He graduated summa cum laude with his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Houston Honors College in Houston, Texas. He then earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston. Dr. Prompton also completed a 3-year cosmetically-driven residency at the prestigious University of Illinois at Chicago Prosthodontics program. His research on dental implant materials was awarded the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics and American Academy of Implant Dentistry grants in 2018. He is an active member in the Chicago Dental Society, American College of Prosthodontists, Illinois State Dental Society, and American Dental Association, Academy of Osseointegration. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Prompton enjoys standup comedy and has performed for multiple dental crowds. He wishes to further his career in comedy through improv classes.
