Then, he served his internship at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas (1997-1998). Furthermore, he conducted his residency in radiation oncology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics (1998-2000) and the University of Washington Medical Center (2000-2002), where he also served as Chief Resident. In addition, he completed his fellowship training in head and neck radiation oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Barker Jr. received board certification in radiation oncology from the American Board of Radiology, as well as board certification in hospice & palliative medicine from the American Board of Hospice & Palliative Medicine. Moreover, he attained fellowship of the American College of Radiology. In addition to his medical degree, he holds a Magna Cum Laude BS degree in Biology and a Magna Cum Laude AA degree in Bible Studies from Abilene Christian University (1993).
