A compassionate and knowledgeable obstetrician-gynecologist, Dr. Tsai is the Founder of Oahu OB/GYN. For well over two decades, she has applied her passion and talent for women’s health in the private practice setting. 

On the stunning island of Oahu lies Oahu OB/GYN, a unique clinic providing advanced obstetric and gynecological treatments with an additional menu of trendy aesthetic services. With convenient locations in downtown Honolulu and Kapolei, Hawaii, women can access safe and sympathetic care for all of their feminine health needs. 

Providing complete obstetric and gynecologic care to women, Dr. Tsai performs routine gynecological exams, Pap smears, and colposcopies, and assists women through every step of pregnancy and birth. She personally performs all the deliveries and surgeries for her patients.

Also, she is skilled in minimally invasive gynecologic surgeries and performs procedures such as laparoscopic hysterectomy, laparoscopic cystectomy, vaginal hysterectomy, and hysteroscopic removal of fibroids and polyps. 

For minimally invasive surgeries that take a delicate hand, Dr. Tsai is recognized for her skills with using the robotic system, da Vinci Xi®, for hysterectomies, myomectomies, and other gynecologic surgeries. This surgical system leaves only 8mm scars and patients may go home on the same day. 

Throughout her academic career, Dr. Tsai graduated summa cum laude from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) with a bachelor’s degree in Biology with departmental honors. She then earned her medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA in 1995.

Four years later, in 1999, she completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine.

With a passion for her profession, Dr. Tsai is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define specialty standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.

Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts). An obstetrician-gynecologist specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases and disorders that affect women, such as breast cancer, cervical cancer, and menopause. Additionally, they work with expecting mothers throughout their pregnancies, during childbirth, and into postpartum. 

In her free time, Dr. Tsai enjoys working out at the gym, doing Zumba, and spending quality time with her three children. She is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
