Dr. Ihimoyan is an attending gastroenterologist within the Division of Gastroenterology at BronxCare Health System in the Bronx, New York City, New York. As such, he manages patients with a wide variety of gastroenterology, liver, biliary, and pancreatic disorders; actively performs diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopies and colonoscopies that help to improve patients’ clinical outcomes; and manages and treats a diverse population of patients with viral hepatitis, especially hepatitis B and hepatitis C, and advanced liver diseases.

It has two state-of-the-art endoscopic centers staffed by eight board-certified faculty members. The Division of Gastroenterology also performs advanced endoscopic procedures including ERCP, EUS, capsule endoscopy, balloon enteroscopy, and high-resolution manometry.
In the early days of his academic career, Dr. Ihimoyan graduated with his medical degree from the University of Ibadan College of Medicine in Nigeria in 2002. Upon relocating to the United States, he went on to perform his residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in gastroenterology at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center in New York, completing his training in 2012.
With over two decades of experience, the doctor is board-certified in gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
