Prior to his three years of plastic and reconstructive surgery training at Tulane University, he completed a five-year general surgery residency at Louisiana State University, and was appointed as an Administrative Chief Resident during the final years of both his general surgery and plastic surgery training.
As a testament of his continued education, he is board-certified in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS). The mission of the ABPS is to promote safe, ethical, efficacious plastic surgery to the public by maintaining high standards for the education, examination, certification, and continuous certification of plastic surgeons as specialists and subspecialists.
