Dr. Sheyin specializes in clinical cardiology and advanced cardiovascular imaging. He is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is also American board certified in Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Cardiovascular Computed Tomography and Vascular Interpretation. In addition, Dr. Sheyin is board-certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Internal Medicine and Cardiology. Dr. Sheyin specializes in diagnosing, monitoring, preventing, and treating diseases or conditions of the heart and blood vessels. A graduate of the prestigious University of Ibadan College of Medicine, Ibadan Nigeria, Dr. Sheyin completed his internal medicine residency at Harlem Hospital Center, New York in affiliation with Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, where he was Chief Resident and received the Outstanding Medical Knowledge Award, among others. Following his residency, Dr. Sheyin completed a fellowship in cardiology at Western University Canada, London, Ontario, with elective rotations at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York. He received his cardiovascular Computed Tomography training at Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, Maryland. After completing his cardiology fellowship, he was trained in cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging at Duke University Medical Center, Durham, North Carolina. A fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the Royal College of Physicians of Canada and the American College of Physicians, and a member of the West African College of Physicians and the American Heart Association, Dr. Sheyin’s areas of special interest are advanced cardiovascular imaging, clinical research, and medical education. When he is not working, Dr. Sheyin enjoys traveling, hiking, singing, dancing, reading, playing the piano, and spending time with his wife, son and two daughters.
