Upon relocating to the United States, he completed his internship at Henry Ford Hospital in 1992, and his residencies in general surgery & physical medicine and rehabilitation at Mount Sinai in 1993 and 1996, respectively.
Providing a comprehensive approach to care, he is double board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation & pain management through the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR). The mission of the ABPMR is to serve the public by improving the quality of patient care in physical medicine and rehabilitation. This is accomplished through a process of certification and maintenance of certification that fosters excellence and encourages continuous learning.
In an effort to provide more attentive and informative care to his patients, Dr. Modugu opened his own practice in Hartsdale in 2001. It reflects the type of care he strives to provide: accurate diagnosis, comprehensive services, and patient education.
Holding more than 20 years of experience helping his patients feel like themselves again, he specializes in treating a variety of spine-related disorders, sports injuries, arthritic disorders, nerve problems, and other pain disorders.
