Get to know Pediatrician Dr. Marjan Monfared, who serves patients in Foothill Ranch, California.

Recognized as a top pediatrician, Dr. Monfared is the owner & operator of ABC Children’s Clinic, Inc. in  Foothill Ranch, California. Having experienced a variety of office settings, she made an effort to open a pediatric practice that is efficient, courteous, honest, and accessible to patients in Orange County.

Taking a hands-on approach to treating each child individually, Dr. Monfared understands that no child is the same as the next. With support and proper education, she advocates parents to help their children grow healthy and thrive for a better future.

Dr. Monfared completed her Bachelor of Science degree from University of California, Irvine, and pursued a medical field by graduating from American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine. She then went on to perform her internship and residency in pediatrics at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine & Science.

After completing medical school and residency, she practiced taking care of children of all ages in primary care, hospital, and pediatric urgent care settings. 

A Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP), the doctor is board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.

Licensed to practice medicine in California, Dr. Monfared is affiliated with Mission Hospital, Mission Viejo; Mission Hospital, Laguna Beach; and MemorialCare Saddleback Medical Center.

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends individuals be under pediatric care up to the age of 21. Pediatricians provide medical care to people ranging in age from newborns to young adults. They are trained to examine, diagnose, and treat children with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses through all of their developmental stages, as they grow and mature.

In honor of her clinical expertise, Dr. Monfared is the recipient of Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2011, 2012, 2013), Patients’ Choice Award (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014), and On-Time Doctor Award (2014).

On a more personal note, she is married with 2 kids. During her spare time, she enjoys cooking and being with her family. She speaks English, Farsi, and Spanish.
