A trusted psychiatrist, Dr. Kjome provides inpatient services at Ascension-Seton Shoal Creek on the specialized DBT skills floor, and serves as Medical Director for hospital-based outpatient services (PHP and IOP).

“I have worked in many different settings, but my favorite is inpatient psychiatry. When someone comes to the hospital, they are in crisis. The challenge of getting to know them and how to help best is very fulfilling to me. The relationships I forge with my patients I meet and take care of during this time are very special. My role at Shoal Creek also allows me to teach healthcare providers from different disciplines and work in an administrative role at Seton to provide the best possible care” expressed Dr. Kjome.

Prior to working at Ascension, they worked in private practice in Austin, and as an inpatient psychiatrist in Houston. They completed their medical school, residency and fellowship training at the John P. and Kathrine G. McGovern Medical School at UTHealth.
