Get to know Family Physician Dr. Samantha Wein, who serves patients in Livonia, Michigan.
Dr. Wein is a trusted, board-certified family physician at Ascension Medical Group Livonia Family Medicine Associates in Livonia, Michigan. She truly enjoys helping her patients reach their health goals, and her passions include preventative care, women’s health, and full-spectrum family medicine.
With a passion for teaching medical students, she serves as a faculty member for the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine.
A 2017 graduate of the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, Dr. Wein went on to perform her residency at Ascension Providence Hospital. She was honored to receive the 2019 Resident Educator of the Year in Family Medicine Award from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine.
While attending medical school, she participated in the Leadership in Medicine for the Underserved Certificate Program. The program seeks to graduate a cohort of physicians with the skills to lead efforts to address the needs of medically underserved and vulnerable populations of the United States and internationally. As part of this program, Dr. Wein volunteered once a week at Durant-Tuuri-Mott Elementary School, teaching the students about health, fitness, and personal well-being through the Michigan Model curriculum.
In 2020, she attained board certification in family medicine through the American Board of Family Medicine, a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties.
In good standing with a number of professional organizations, Dr. Wein is a member of the Michigan Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association, and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Additionally, she holds various certifications in Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Basic Life Support for HealthCare Professionals, and Human Research Protection.
