Acupuncture in neck and feeling dizzy after
Hello, Two neck needles most likely will not cause dizziness since insertion depth is shallow in that area. However, because I am not your acupuncturist, I would need to know the point selection and insertion method. It could be a healing response, which is moving the stagnant Qi out of the area. A healing response will not last long and you should find a positive pain relief thereafter. Celeste READ MORE

How long do the effects of an acupuncture treatment last?
Hi, acupuncture corrects imbalances in the body as a whole. Sometimes it takes a few treatments to fully accomplish this. However, if we are treating back pain or sciatica for example, typically the patient will feel relief right away . If the back pain comes back it is usually between 4-7 days and then the pain may return but on a much less scale. The patient then comes back in for another treatment where afterward pain is either totally gone or comes back 4 days later just slightly. Then it may require one last treatment to kick out the slight remaining imbalance . If the patient is treating diabetes or a more internal disease these treatments are usually maintenance treatments once per week, bi-monthly or monthly. READ MORE

Academically, Celeste received her Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine degree from AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine. To enhance her acupuncture practice, she extended her graduate studies to include Character Genealogy, which utilizes ancient acupuncture point prescription for psycho-emotional balancing and spiritual treatments. She completed extensive work with pediatric tuina which encompasses acupressure for the treatment of childhood diseases. She has treated her own children with pediatric tuina and herbal therapy since their births, as well as has used acupuncture and herbs to induce the birth of her last child, who was born 12 minutes after labor began.
During her young adulthood, Celeste traveled the world on a spiritual journey. Her path led her to oriental medicine. As a clinic intern at AOMA, she loved helping people improve their health and saw first-hand how Traditional Chinese Medicine could change a patient’s quality of life. She enjoyed the gratification of establishing bonding relationships with her patients. Through Chinese Medicine, she found her purpose and passion in life, and found a personal way to give something wonderful to the community.
Although she had always dreamed of having a family, Celeste had been diagnosed with infertility in her early thirties. During her graduate work, she had been treated by a Chinese medicine doctor at AOMA for miscarriage and endometriosis, which is a painful reproductive system ailment that can cause infertility. She painfully decided to let go of having a family and focused on building her career, but she continued to treat herself to regulate her body with acupuncture and herbs while attending AOMA.
Three months after graduation, at forty years old, she and her husband received the news they were pregnant with their first of three children. She understands the emotional involvement a couple has when trying to build a family. Through her own experience with infertility and the successes that Chinese Medicine has brought into her own family life, Celeste hopes to extend her hand in service to other “moms to be” for the miracles waiting to be born into their lives.
Accredited through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, she holds certifications in Zen Shiatsu Japanese Bodywork, Medical Qigong, and Reiki.
