Get to know Podiatrist Dr. Michael Wenowitz, who serves patients in Lorain, Ohio.

Dr. Wenowitz is a board-certified podiatrist who practices alongside Dr. David Hintz, DPM, at Integrity Foot & Ankle Associates, of which they are co-owners. 

Integrity Foot and Ankle Associates is located in the southernmost part of Lorain, Ohio and is conveniently located to serve patients from Amherst, Elyria, Avon, Vermilion, and all other Lorain County and surrounding communities. The podiatry team strives to help prevent and manage lower extremity conditions and injuries. They help patients young and old get better, from nail care to foot and ankle surgery. 

“Our goal is to get you better with conservative treatment. We can help with diabetic foot care, treatment of sports injuries, ingrown toenails, minimal incision hammertoe correction, injections, wound care, falls and balance issues, gait analysis, custom foot orthotics, diabetic shoes, custom bracing, and many other treatments to relieve your pain and discomfort and get you back on your feet. If surgery is recommended for your condition, we use the most advanced procedures and surgical techniques available, many of which are in-office minimally invasive procedures, and can be performed with little recovery time” as stated on the practice’s website. 

Completing his undergraduate work at Kent State University College of Architecture, Dr. Wenowitz went on to obtain his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine.

The doctor is board-certified through the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, whose mission is to protect and improve the health and welfare of the public by the advancement of the art and science of podiatric surgery.

Striving to treat patients and their families with kindness, Dr. Wenowitz attributes his success to his hard work and dedication to his practice and has learned to not base his idea of success off of others.

A podiatrist, also known as a podiatric physician or a foot and ankle surgeon, is a medical professional devoted to the treatment of disorders of the foot, ankle, and lower extremity. They can treat injuries and complications from ongoing health issues like diabetes. 

In his free time, Dr. Wenowitz enjoys spending time with his wife, Lisa, and their dog, Rusty, as well as traveling.
