How do I know if my fracture is healing?
Fractures take time to heal. Unfortunately we can't know for sure how the healing is going until we re-evaluate with x-rays. Here are some helpful tips though: Can you put weight on it? Can you move on it (i.e walking around the house, getting up and down, etc)? Is there still swelling or pain? If you can move around on it easily and you have minimal/no pain or swelling, then it is healing. Cold level laser is fantastic for speeding up recovery time on fractures. I highly recommend finding someone that can do that for you! READ MORE
Why does my back crack when I stretch?
Your back cracks when you stretch because there are joints that are freely moving and can self adjust when you move. The problem is that there are joints surrounding those areas that are not freely moving and can cause muscle tension, discomfort, and reduced motion. I tell my clients to come in for an adjustment even though they pop when they stretch to make sure that your whole spine, and body, is getting adjusted and getting adjusted correctly. READ MORE
How young is too young for chiropractic care?
Kids of all ages can see a chiropractor. I regularly adjust infants for common issues like torticollis and colic. 10 years old is a great age for chiropractic care. They can have back pain, neck pain, headaches, growing pain issues, athletic injuries, posture problems, and leg or arm pain. Jennifer Gardner, DC READ MORE
