Promising every podiatry need will be catered to, she and her staff offer a wide range of podiatry medical treatments for foot and ankle disorders, including, but not limited to: heel spurs and heel pain, numb toes and feet, infections such as warts, ingrown toenails, athlete’s foot, and fungal nail infections, toe, foot and ankle fractures, diabetic care for routine and preventive maintenance, diabetic ulcers and wound care, bunions and hammertoes, calluses and cracked heels and feet, sports medicine injuries such as Achilles tendonitis, sprains and strains of both the foot and ankle, re-alignment for unequal limb length after joint replacement surgery, custom orthotics and arch supports, and pediatric treatment of flatfoot, in-toeing, toe walking, and growing pains.
A second-generation podiatrist, Dr. Politz’ mother is a retired registered nurse and father is a retired podiatrist. She was raised working in her father’s podiatric practice, and studied podiatry at the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in downtown Chicago. She then completed her training at the Yale School of Medicine, and worked in a private practice in Chicago for one year before moving to Las Vegas in 1998.
Initially, she practiced podiatric medicine with a group practice of orthopedic surgeons. In 2001, she began Mountain Podiatry, her own private practice. Always a spa kid at heart, she wanted to treat her patients to comfort and relaxation along with superb medical care.
With years of experience, She sees approximately 60 patients a day, handling everything involving the feet and ankles, from bunions and warts to biomechanics realignment, all orthopedic sports medicine, and diabetic wounds. Dr. Politz has in the past worked with Nevada Ballet, Cirque De Soleli from “O”, Myster’e, Lord of the Dance, as well as Tommy Tune from FX. Dr. Politz continues to be active in tennis, volleyball, and soccer which makes it easy to treat athletes.
