Get to know Prosthodontist Dr. Rami Elrefai, who serves patients in Southfield, Michigan.

Dedicated to his patients, Dr. Elrefai is a trained periodontist who looks forward to creating, designing, and customizing ideal smiles at ClearChoice Dental Implant Center in Southfield, Michigan.

“Providing my patients with a beautiful and healthy smile is the most rewarding part of my job. It brings me much joy and happiness” he stated. 

In regards to his educational background, Dr. Elrefai earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Detroit Mercy (UDM) School of Dentistry. After practicing for two years, he enrolled in the prosthodontics program at The Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University. He also completed the American Academy of Implant Dentistry Maxicourse for comprehensive training in implant dentistry.

A published author and presenter, he has lectured about esthetic dentistry, digital smile design, and fixed implant prosthodontics for the edentulous patient.

Prosthodontics, also known as dental prosthetics or prosthetic dentistry, is the area of dentistry that focuses on dental prostheses. Prosthodontists specialize in replacing missing teeth and associated oral structures by determining the type of dental prostheses required, having customized dental prostheses manufactured, and fitting them in patients’ mouths. They also treat temporomandibular disorders and various issues associated with damaged and problematic teeth.

On a more personal note, Dr. Elrefai speaks both English and Arabic.
