Ibuprofen, potassium and hiatal hernia?
Ibuprofen and potassium effects go away quickly within 24 hrs. Patient is already on pantoprazole. I suggest he follow reflux precautions such as avoiding tight clothes around belly, not lying down at least 30 minutes after food intake. Avoid alcohol, tobacco, wine, and cheese. If he continues to experience symptoms of stomachache after 2 to 4 weeks with above measures, I suggest he get an EGD endoscopic evaluation with gastroenterologist to rule out peptic ulcers disease. Which is correct - a hospital test or home covid test?
Home test kits are Rapid covid antigen test.Hospital test was PCR possibly.False negative rates are very high with home kit because of rapid antigen test they use. So every one in family need confirmatory test with covid PCR test in order to rule out false negative home test. So I encourage everyone to get covid PCR right away.so need to follow covid precautions until confirmatory test. READ MORE

Hospital medicine is a medical specialty that exists in some countries as a branch of internal or family medicine, dealing with the care of acutely ill hospitalized patients. The primary focus is caring for hospitalized patients and co-management with other specialties. Hospitalists take an active part in medical care and ensure a safe discharge for the patients they take care of. They are being increasingly involved in administrative roles, given their expertise and collaboration with various teams in the hospital.
