Get to know Vascular Surgeon Dr. Marc Salhanick, who serves patients in Dallas, Texas.

An expert in both surgical and non-surgical treatment of vein and artery disease, Dr. Salhanick is a part of the team of professionals at Lone Star Vein and Vascular Specialists.

A Dallas native, Dr. Salhanick earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School. He completed both his residency in general surgery and his fellowship in vascular surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Following his training, he attained board certification in vascular surgery and general surgery through the American Board of Surgery (ABS).  The ABS is an independent, non-profit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, founded for the purpose of certifying surgeons who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge.

Vascular surgery is a surgical subspecialty in which diseases of the vascular system, including the arteries, veins, and lymphatic circulation, are managed by medical therapy, minimally invasive catheter procedures, and surgical reconstruction. A vascular surgeon diagnoses, treats, and manages conditions in the arteries and veins, also called the blood vessels. These specialists treat a range of health problems, from spider and varicose veins to life-threatening aneurysms, and can help patients manage chronic conditions throughout their lives.

Happily married, Dr. Salhanick and his wife enjoy spending time with their young son.
