After college, he dedicated his time researching and developing oncological treatments at the well-known Bristol Myers Squibb.
Subsequently, he pursued his passion in serving others and attended medical school and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Southern New Jersey, where he was appointed Chief Resident and recognized as Resident of the Year. He then completed his training in the form of a fellowship in orthopedic spine surgery at the esteemed Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, New York.
Throughout his career, Dr. Cataldo has authored numerous publications including journal articles and book chapters. He is also a member of many professional societies, including the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, and the North American Spine Society.
Orthopedic surgery is the branch of surgery concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system. Pediatric orthopedic surgeons treat children from the newborn stage through the teenage years. They choose to make pediatric care the core of their medical practice, and the unique nature of medical and surgical care of children is learned from advanced training and experience in practice.
