Chinese medicine is a comprehensive system that is able to treat a wide range of acute and chronic conditions. It is a particularly effective choice for conditions that Western medicine does not understand or for which it has no effective treatment. Chinese medicine also works well as an adjunctive form of treatment to common Western treatment practices. Conditions commonly treated with Chinese Medicine include: cold and flu, sinusitis, gastrointesinal disorders, headache, musculoskeletal pain, asthma, anxiety, and gynecological disorders.
Treatment may involve various components such as Acupuncture, Acupressure, Chinese Herbs, Moxabustion, Cupping, or Gua Sha.
It is very safe. When practiced correctly by trained, qualified practitioners, acupuncture and Chinese herbs are extremely safe. Acupuncturists today use individually packaged, sterile, disposable needles. There are also virtually no side effects to Chinese medicine, which means that a “healthy” person can get treatment to stay healthy and grounded. It can be used for treatment of children as well as adults of all ages.
