He then worked as a Medical Officer/Internist with the Central Government Health Service, Government of India, New Delhi, India (1981-1989). After relocating to the United States, Dr. Agarwal completed his internal medicine residency at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center and the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago (1990 – 1993).
Subsequent to the completion of his training, he acquired his board certification in internal medicine with the American Board of Internal Medicine. The American Board of Internal Medicine is a 501 nonprofit, self-appointed physician-evaluation organization that certifies physicians practicing internal medicine and its subspecialties.
