Get to know Reproductive Endocrinologist Dr. Valentin Tureanu, who serves patients throughout the State of Illinois.

Dr. Tureanu is a top-rated reproductive endocrinologist and certified menopause practitioner committed to providing advanced care for patients in and around Chicago and Downers Grove, Illinois. 

The doctor focuses on providing comprehensive care for women with fertility problems, menopause symptoms, and other medical issues, including  polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and hormone replacement therapy (HRT).

A respected clinician, Dr. Tureanu is dedicated to providing patients with evidence-based, patient-centered care focused on achieving the best possible outcomes in every case.

A native of Romania, he completed his medical degree at Universitatea de Medicina si Farmacie Iuliu Hatieganu in Cluj-Napoca, followed by a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County and a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry – Western University.

An author of several books and papers, Dr. Tureanu is an active member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, the American Society of Reproductive Surgeons, the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology, the International Society for Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology, the International Society for Gynecologic Endoscopy, the New York Academy of Sciences, the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, and the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture.

In addition to seeing patients at his practice, Dr. Tureanu has hospital privileges at Weiss Memorial Hospital and Thorek Memorial Hospital Andersonville.

Reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI) is a surgical subspecialty of obstetrics and gynecology that trains physicians in reproductive medicine addressing hormonal functioning as it pertains to the reproduction, as well as the issue of infertility. Dr Tureanu is also trained to evaluate and treat hormonal dysfunctions in females after the reproductive years.
