  • Can I use mouthwash 1 week after extraction?

You can use mouthwash 1 week after an extraction. I would advise avoiding mouthwashes with alcohol in them for a little while longer as it might cause and uncomfortable burning sensation at the extraction sites still. Be careful while swishing around and spitting the mouthwash out. Don’t do it too forcefully. READ MORE

  • Why do my other teeth hurt after wisdom tooth extraction?

Sometimes your dentist needs to push against the teeth next to your wisdom tooth to help lift it out. It can make them a little sore for a few days. In a addition to this, you could be experiencing something called referred pain. This is when one location (the spot where your wisdom tooth was extracted) can lead to another location (your other teeth) to be sore. You’ll be sore for awhile and this is pretty normal after an extraction. Just give it time to heal and if it persists, schedule an appointment to see your dentist again. READ MORE
