Get to know Pain Management Specialist Dr. Philip S. Kim, who serves patients throughout Delaware and Pennsylvania.
Dr. Kim began his career at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. He completed his residency in anesthesiology and fellowship in pain management at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and is board certified in Pain Medicine, Anesthesiology, and Integrative Medicine. He also completed a master’s in functional medicine at the University of South Florida. His multiple society memberships include the International Association for the Study of Pain, Spine Interventional Society, American Academy of Pain Medicine, Regional Pain and Anesthesia Society. North American Spine Society, and the North American Neuromodulation Society. He is the current president of the Pennsylvania Pain Society.
He is highly recognized for his specialty in neuromodulation therapies and intrathecal drug delivery systems. He is passionate about interventional approaches to pain management and increasing the quality of life for his patients. He is committed to offering patients options when they feel they have exhausted many of them.
He serves as an author on the polyanalgesic consensus for intrathecal drug delivery and neurostimulation appropriate consensus committee. Dr. Kim is the Chief Executive officer and founding member of the Center for Interventional Pain & Spine, previous Medical Representative for the Controlled Substance Advisory Committee of Delaware, and member of the Delaware Prescription Drug Action Committee.
