Get to know Anesthesiologist Dr. Aimee Kamat, who serves patients in Miami Beach, Florida.

A competent anesthesiologist, Dr. Kamat works with patients at her private practice - Intuitive Interventions - providing a breakthrough non-surgical therapy for acute and chronic pain. She has also successfully treated a variety of neuropathic pain, post surgical pain, tinnitus and migraines using the patented RELIEF® procedure (real-time echo located interventional epineural fibrolysis) at Vitruvia.

Back in 2003, Dr. Kamat graduated with her medical degree from the American University of Integrative Sciences, Sint Maarten School of Medicine. She completed her residency in anesthesiology at the Jackson Memorial Hospital in 2008, and completed a post-doctoral research fellowship at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.

As a testament to her success, she has been recognized as a Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology (DABA). As the certifying body for anesthesiologists since 1938, the ABA is committed to partnering with physicians to advance lifelong learning and exceptional patient care. Its mission is to advance the highest standards of the practice of anesthesiology.

Among her professional affiliations, Dr. Kamat is an active member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the Florida Society of Anesthesiologists, and the Association of VA Anesthesiologists.

With decades of diverse clinical and research experience, she served as an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine until June 2021, and as an Assistant Chief of Anesthesiology at the Bruce W. Carter VA Medical Center until June 2020.

Anesthesiology is the medical specialty concerned with the total perioperative care of patients before, during, and after surgery. It encompasses anesthesia, intensive care medicine, critical emergency medicine, and pain medicine. Anesthesiologists have the primary responsibility of monitoring the patient’s vital signs during surgery. In addition to basic measurements such as pulse, blood pressure, and temperature, they measure the patient’s respiration.

Speaking several languages, Dr. Kamat is fluent in English, Spanish, and French.
