Without an x-ray, this is difficult to give an answer. However, if the 5th digit does have a break and is relatively non-displaced this typically can be treated with buddy taping the 4th and 5th toes together with paper tape and a small amount of cotton between toes. I need help with my feet?
Burning and itching is frequently caused in an acute setting by an allergic reaction (i.e., new detergent, etc.) or fungal infection. Oral Benadryl will typically help. If an allergic reaction, topical steroids cream may help, and if a fungal infection, a topical antifungal cream. I would suggest making a follow-up appointment with a foot and ankle specialist if symptoms do not get better or worsen. READ MORE

Without any context other than a picture of your foot, this would be difficult to answer. I suggest you go get radiographs done of your foot for evaluation if you believe it is broken. READ MORE

If you have had an X-ray and the bone is prominent or of abnormal morphology, you may need an exostectomy to shave the bone down. Otherwise, if it is just prominent and not pushing on the nail, you can pad it with a toe pad. READ MORE
