Get to know Internist Dr. Susan Baldassari, who serves patients in Buffalo, New York.

An excellent internist, Dr. Baldassari is in practice at General Physician PC, seeing patients in Buffalo, New York. Prior to joining General Physicians she was in solo medical practice in Kenmore, New York for over 30 years.

Established in 2010, General Physician PC has grown to be one of the largest medical groups serving Western New York. But they didn’t set out to be the biggest – their goal has always been to be the best. They are a collective of the region’s most well-respected, accomplished healthcare providers from many different areas of medicine, from general practitioners to highly skilled specialists.

Graduating cum laude with her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Boston College, Dr. Baldassari then studied in the Philippines, completing her medical education at the Manila Central University School of Medicine. After returning to the United States, she completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at the State University of New York at Buffalo residency program at Millard Fillmore Gates and Suburban Hospitals, where she served as chief resident in her final year of training.

Professionally, she is a proud member of the Medical Society of County of Erie, the Medical Society of State of New York, the American Medical Association, and is a fellow in the American College of Physicians, and the American Society of Internal Medicine. She served as  a past president of the Medical Society of the County of Erie.

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They care for patients with common and complex diseases by providing comprehensive care and promoting overall well-being.
