Her passion for surgery led her to apply for a postgraduate program in oral and maxillofacial surgery in Argentina. In February of 2013, she was accepted to the program and successfully completed a four-year residency at Universidad Catolica Argentina, in Buenos Aires, graduating in December of 2016. During her residency, she also revalidated her dental degree in Argentina.

The doctor’s ambitions to continue growing in her career brought her to practice in the United States, where she completed an AEGD program from the Florida Institute for Advanced Dental Education, also known as Community Smiles, making her a licensed dentist in Florida as well. Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.

In her spare time, Dr. Marquez enjoys traveling, skiing in the mountains, and outdoor activities where she is surrounded by nature. Happily married, she and her husband have a dog, Gnocchi. She also loves horses and plans to get one soon. Speaking several languages, she is fluent in English, Spanish, and is very interested in learning Serbian.
