Dr. Wang is a licensed acupuncturist at Iris Wellness Center – Acupuncture & Integrated Health in Houston, Texas. She looks forward to honoring patients’ health with a person-centered approach to acupuncture.

Combining the ancient art of acupuncture and herbs with the newest research of functional medicine, Iris Wellness Center treats a wide range of conditions addressing the root cause of a disease. The staff personalize treatment plans for each patient using the Bio-Well Health and Wellness Report, well established functional medicine practices, and acupuncture. 

Born in Beijing, China, Dr. Wang’s passion for acupuncture and integrative health began before she entered college. She earned both a Master’s degree and a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Five Branches University in San Jose, California.

With 15+ years of experience practicing in China, California, and now in Houston, studying in China and in the United States, and as an apprentice to top masters in the field, Dr. Wang works together with her patients, empowering them to better health. She is also one of the first bio-well certified practitioners in Houston.

Helping individuals get healthy and stay healthy, Dr. Wang is board-certified in acupuncture and Chinese herbology by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). The NCCAOM is a non-profit organization in the United States that aims to “establish, assess, and promote recognized standards of competence and safety in acupuncture and Oriental medicine for the protection and benefit of the public.”

It is a technique in which thin needles are inserted into the body and in some cases, electro-stimulation is applied to gently stimulate particular regions of the body.
