Academically, his journey in medicine began with his undergraduate studies at the University of Minnesota in Duluth, Minnesota, followed by graduate education at Davenport University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He earned his medical degree from St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, before completing a rigorous residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis/St. Paul. His dedication to advancing his expertise continued with a fellowship in pain medicine at the same prestigious institution.

Continuously advancing his efforts, Dr. Dvorak is affiliated with several esteemed organizations, including the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the Spine Intervention Society, the Interventional Orthopedic Foundation, the American Academy of Pain Medicine, the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, and the North American Neuromodulation Society. 

When asked about the keys to his success, he cites the influence of great mentors, the unwavering support of his family, and a dedicated focus on ensuring his patients have the resources they need to achieve better health. “I believe in empowering my patients,” he states. “By providing them with the tools and knowledge necessary for their recovery, I can help them regain their quality of life.”

Dr. Dvorak’s love for the Minneapolis area is evident. “The outdoors here are incredible,” he shares. “I enjoy the abundance of lakes, parks, paths, and trails, and I cherish the sense of community in the city and its suburbs. Minnesota is my home, and it always will be.” His enthusiasm extends to local culture, particularly the vibrant microbrewery scene that the area has to offer.

In his free time, Dr. Dvorak enjoys spending time with his wife and children, traveling, and engaging in outdoor activities. While he once took on the challenge of snowboarding, an unfortunate series of injuries led him to return to skiing, proving that his resilience extends beyond his medical practice. He humorously recalls a time he attempted a Triple Black Diamond slope—“I lost,” he admits with a laugh.

Dr. Dvorak enjoys traveling and exploring new places with his family, and exposing his children to different cultures and lifestyles.  His favorite place to travel is Scotland and Ireland where he is able to visit family and friends, an area that holds special memories for him, and reflects his adventurous spirit and love for family and the outdoors.  He also dedicates time to coaching his children’s sports teams, demonstrating his commitment to family and community.
