About

Dr. Duque-Suarez is the daughter of first-generation immigrants and a Queens native. She takes great pride and honor in serving the community where she grew up.  She recognizes the struggles and hardship of working families.

 

Dr. Duque-Suarez obtained her undergraduate degree from St. John’s University in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. Earned her Masters of Science in 2016 and Medical Degree in 2017, from Touro College of Osteopathic medicine in New York City.  She completed her three-year Pediatric Residency Program at Children’s Hospital of New Jersey, in Newark NJ. Dr. Duque-Suarez is board certification eligible and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is a certified Pediatric Advance Life Support and Advance Trauma Life Support provider.  She has participated in research with interest in health literacy and education, asthma, and improving resident training. Dr. Duque-Suarez holds an attending physician position in the Pediatric Emergency Department at Elmhurst Hospital. 

 

Dr. Duque-Suarez is passionate about serving the community and the overall health of children and the family unit as a whole. She has special interest in developmental screening and nutrition. She believes in the importance of preventative care and anticipatory guidance in helping parents keep their children healthy. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, yoga and enjoying outdoor activities.
